New Yearโs Resolution ๐
Iโm starting a long-term reading project: German weekly โDie Zeitโ has compiled a new 100 book selection of world literature. I will try to read all of them and keep track on a dedicated blog page (100 Books). This could easily take 10+ years, so let’s get started.

Finished reading: The Golden Enclaves by Naomi Novik ๐
Wow! Read the whole trilogy in 3 weeks after buying it as a gift initially. Very interesting ideas about a society of wizards and the mechanics of working magic. The protagonists are students and later graduates of a school for wizardry but this is by no means a Harry Potter rip-off and not really a YA novel. Highly recommend.

Currently reading: Die Flamme der Freiheit by Jรถrg Bong ๐
Half way through, it is a very readable account of the March Revolution 1848 in Germany. Already looking forward to the planned next two volumes.

November really starts dreary. Grey skies, constant drizzle, the sun seems not to rise at all. But there is beauty in it as well - and joy. Went for a morning run and savored the hot shower afterwards. #mbnov
